L. Bréguet Br 890R

This model was created during research for the development of the 890 series of Bréguet airplanes. The Br 890R "Mars" was in response to a, invitation to tender from the French Army in 1947 who wanted a multipurpose plane (transport and cargo).

This airplane never entered production unfortunately losing out in competition to Nord Aviation and their Nord 2500 aircraft (this Nord 2500 with a different motorisation became the famous Nord 2501 “Noratlas”). A civilian version of the Br890 had also existed, also unsuccessfully since only two prototypes were built – the Br 891H and the Br 892S "Mercure".
